The great Roberto “Arriba” Clemente was a 15-time All-Star, 2-time World Series Champion, and Hall of Famer born in Puerto Rico that played 18 seasons in the MLB with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The first player from the Caribbean and Latin America to win a World Series as a starting position player, Clemente was best known for his extraordinary speed on the plates and his unrivaled power at bat. While his on-field performance was the stuff of baseball legends, it was his off-field efforts that solidified his place as a timeless hero. As a civil rights advocate and active humanitarian, Clemente gave selflessly to help others and it was in these efforts Clemente lost his life in a plane crash while attempting to deliver much needed supplies to victims of a massive earthquake in Nicaragua.

Postseason Appearance Updates
This season, through our regular roster updates, we’ve added hundreds of players to our game. We have also made hundreds of appearance updates for players in the MLB, and also at the MILB level. Our character team has added over 280 new heads to the game since we launched in March while also updating hundreds more through roster and game updates. These appearance updates range from players who simply cut their hair during the season (Vladimir Guerrero Jr.) to brand-new heads built for players who made an immediate impact in the game (Paul Skenes). We highlighted some new player appearances in a previous blog over the summer but we wanted to call your attention to some more player appearance updates as we wind down the regular season and look “a head” towards the postseason.
