Batter up for a whole new season of competition!
The wait is finally over — MLB The Show 26 has officially launched on PlayStation 5. With the release now under our belt, we wanted to let the community know about some major updates on deck.
This year, we’re stepping up to the plate with a streamlined competitive roadmap for The Show, an extended calendar for special events in our Celebration Series, and more premium rewards than ever before. Opening Day for our always-on tournaments is March 25, so be sure to mark your calendars and get ready to play ball.
To ensure new and veteran players experience the highest-quality matchmaking during MLB The Show 26 always-on tournaments, we’re refocusing our Diamond Dynasty* tier. This season, we’re retiring both Diamond Dynasty: All-Star and Hall of Fame modes to put the spotlight solely on the Diamond Dynasty: Legend bracket.
Fewer modes means an enhanced level of competition for our community. To keep the action on the field fresh and fast-paced, our always-on tournaments have moved to 16-player brackets. We’ve also increased prizing across the board to match the higher stakes. You’ll still get to claim the usual card packs and unique avatars, now with even more Stubs.
The fan-favorite Celebration Series returns to MLB The Show 26 with an expanded schedule. We’re extending the run of these special events to give all players more time to hone their skills and climb the ranks. From the Coach Classic to the Bottom of the 9th, the rewards for our Celebration Series events are now even larger than in years past, with up to 7,500 Stubs on the line for the Legend bracket in addition to card packs and exclusive avatars.
Look forward to these returning events in our Celebration Series:
The Community Series will, once again, return to close out the season with the help of our legendary Ambassadors: Yeyo, Scuffy, and Profe. Plus, we’ve got special in-game events planned for the competitive calendar. But that’s not all — there are also some big surprises in store for MLB The Show 26 that we’re not ready to reveal just yet. So stay tuned for more announcements in the coming months.
