We are so appreciative of all the support that the MLB The Show community has shown over the years, since the first MLB The Show Esports Tournaments back in October 2019! These tournaments have now become a staple for many fans, and we are always looking to provide the best experience possible for our players. That being the case, we want to celebrate how far we have come and highlight the Esport experience with some top-tier competition. 

The MLB The Show 26 Pro Tournaments will be an invite-only experience, with the participants being chosen from winners and top competitors from tournaments in previous years. With this shift, we will be having the top players compete at the highest levels. Our esports gladiators will participate in a Tournament of Champions to crown the ultimate MLB The Show Winner. 

To expand the enjoyment of the casual and hardcore fan alike, each game will be broadcast live, helping to make the events exciting and accessible to all MLB The Show fans. We will share broadcast information so fans can catch all the action and see if their picks make it to the finals.

MLB The Show 26 Championship Series Invitational 

Kicking off this year’s new format, San Diego Studio will host the MLB The Show 26 Championship Series Invitational. The top 24 players from previous seasons will compete for a piece of the $55,000 prize pool and, for the first time ever, a chance to play in the finals on-site at Sony San Diego! 

Tournament Format 

Players will be randomly seeded into four groups of six and will face each other twice in a double round robin group stage. The top two players from each group will then advance to the playoff stage, where they will play each other in best-of-three, single-elimination knockout rounds.

• Group Stage: Aug. 1-2, 8-9 
• Playoffs 
• Quarterfinals: Aug. 22 
• Semi-finals: Aug. 23 
• Finals: Sep. 19 – On-site at Sony San Diego! 

Prizing 

• 1st: $15,000 
• 2nd: $10,000 
• 3rd-4th: $5,000 
• 5th-8th: $2,500 
• 9th-16th: $1,000 
• 17th-24th: $250
