Play today’s New Threads content and collect 8, 18, and 24 New Threads Series players in the New Threads Series Collection to add New Thread Series Justin Verlander (90 OVR), Kyle Tucker (91 OVR), and Bo Bichette (91 OVR) to your Diamond Dynasty* squad.

Play Moments using New Threads Series players. Complete Missions, including Bonus PXP Missions, using any version of specific players wearing New Threads in 2026. Collect New Threads Series player items in the New Threads Collection and the Optional: New Threads Pack Collections.
Earn progress in the New Threads Program to get your mitts on a Deluxe New Threads Series Pack, featuring additional New Threads Series players, and to add the following New Threads Program player rewards to your lineup in MLB The Show 26:

The New Threads Mini Seasons challenge tasks you with building your best squad and taking on CPU-teams using rosters based on real world Diamond Dynasty players’ teams. Compete in 3 or 9 inning games and 7 or 28 games seasons to earn Packs, Stubs, unlockables, and other rewards including New Threads Series Ryan Helsley (87 OVR), Luis Robert Jr. (88 OVR), and Brandon Nimmo (89 OVR).
In addition to these amazing player item rewards, earn Deluxe New Threads Packs, including a repeatable pack reward, for unlocking goals using New Threads Series players in the New Threads Mini Seasons challenge.

Build teams from New Threads Series, Live Series, 84 OVR & lower players then earn wins in the Opening Day Event to earn repeatable rewards before double elimination.
On top of earning Event rewards, completing Missions in the Opening Day Event will allow you to progress in the Opening Day Event Program for a chance to add New Threads Series Freddy Peralta (89 OVR) to your roster.
After picking up New Threads Series Freddy Peralta, continue progressing through the Opening Day Event Program to earn a Deluxe and a Premiere New Threads Packs.

Lastly, Friday, March 27th brings the first Roster Update focusing on Transactions, intended to align your MLB The Show 26 rosters with the current MLB rosters.
Roster Updates focusing on Transactions will occur weekly while Roster Updates focusing on Attributes will occur every 3 to 5 weeks, after the first Attributes Update, throughout the season. The first Attributes Update of the season is currently scheduled for Friday, May 8th.
