Welcome! With MLB The Show 24 joining the stellar lineup of FREE PS Plus monthly games for September 2024, we wanted to re-explore all the amazing content that rookie and veteran players alike can expect in Diamond Dynasty.

WHAT IS DIAMOND DYNASTY?
Diamond Dynasty is where you can build your dream team of MLB legends, flashbacks, and present-day superstars. Play a variety of single player and multiplayer modes to unlock players, Stubs(TM) (our in-game currency), and XP.
WHERE DO I BEGIN?
The Starter Program is the best way to begin your Diamond Dynasty adventure! You’ll familiarize yourself with Moments, Missions, and Showdown while earning two diamond rewards that will be immediate must-haves for your Diamond Dynasty team.
From there, look towards the various in-season Other Programs available to play through!
Season Awards is our weekly program highlighting the best players in baseball! From walk-off home runs to MLB debuts, find various Topps Now and Season Awards cards available to earn. Keep up with each weekly release to eventually earn Lightning players in Special Collections!
Other Programs is also the area where you will find content for the MLB Postseason. There will be weekly content drops highlighting real-life Postseason performances, with a chance to earn player items of the players involved!
If you are also interested in playing through all the Other Programs content which was released in Season 1 and 2, you can find them in the “Out of Season” tab in the Other Programs screen.
Team Affinity is another great place to get your start in Diamond Dynasty! Simply complete various areas of Diamond Dynasty, including Moments, Missions, Showdown, and more to earn an Out Of Position player for your favorite team! Work through all programs to earn up to 30 players!
WHAT ARE ALL THE MODES IN DIAMOND DYNASTY?
SINGLE PLAYER MODES
Play competitive games offline! Find a variety of formats and rules to put your Diamond Dynasty team to the test to earn player rewards, Stubs, and XP.
Mini Seasons
Using your Diamond Dynasty squad in 3-inning games, play a 28-game baseball season to advance to a Postseason format. Some Mini Seasons have different themes that will influence your squad building. Earn Stubs, XP, and player rewards.
Conquest
Conquest is a single-player strategy experience that challenges you to take over territories in a variety of different custom maps. Play different maps, complete goals, and earn rewards in 3-inning games.
Showdown
Draft a team and face off against some of the best pitchers in baseball. Score enough runs before you run out of outs to advance and earn rewards.
Moments
Jump into a moment in baseball history and relive or rewrite the at-bat, inning, or game!
Play vs. CPU
In a 9-inning game, take your Diamond Dynasty squad against one of the 30 MLB clubs.
MULTIPLAYER MODES
Experience an online, competitive atmosphere against other players! Take your best Diamond Dynasty team, draft a new team, or construct a theme team from your player inventory to earn player rewards, Stubs, and XP.
Ranked
Ranked is a 9-inning mode where your best squad faces another player’s best squad, in Solo (1v1) and Co-Op formats (2v2 or 3v3). Win games, rank up, complete Missions, and earn some of the best player rewards in Diamond Dynasty. Ranked refreshes around every four weeks.
Battle Royale
Draft a team and play against other people in 3-inning games. Keep winning games and completing Missions to unlock rewards. String 10 wins in-a-row to earn some of the best player rewards in Diamond Dynasty. Two losses finish the run. Battle Royale rewards and mission refresh about every four weeks.
Events
Events are based on theme team builds with a rotating set of rules per each Event. Each Event will challenge your team-building skills and depth of players to bring your best to the diamond. Win games to unlock rewards. Events refresh around every two weeks.
HOW DO I EARN MORE REWARDS TO UPGRADE MY DIAMOND DYNASTY TEAM?
PROGRAMS
Programs bundle up a variety of Diamond Dynasty modes and Missions. They have their own themes and reward paths so that you can unlock more players to keep building and rounding out your Diamond Dynasty team. Programs often present many ways to complete them, so play your way to start making progress!
XP Reward Path
Every mode you play, whether multiplayer or single player, you’ll earn XP through gameplay. Most modes and programs also reward chunks of XP. The more XP you earn, the more rewards you’ll earn. The XP path includes some of the most coveted players who’ll provide immediate upgrades to your Diamond Dynasty team.
Team Affinity
Play your favorite Diamond Dynasty modes to earn Team Affinity progress to unlock players from your favorite MLB team. Team Affinity is one of your go-to places to fill out your Diamond Dynasty squad.
Team Affinity Season 3: Chapter 1 is the newest drop, and it contains Out of Position players, a brand-new card series to MLB The Show.
Other Programs
If you’re looking for more legends, flashbacks, and 2024 superstars, check out Other Programs. They offer an array of themes and rewards. Some even offer unique ways to complete. If you’re looking to earn more players for your team quickly, Other Programs are where to go.
COLLECTIONS
As you continue playing and unlocking players, you’ll have the chance to collect the players you have already earned to unlock even more players through various Collections.
Note: Once you collect a player item, that player item cannot be sold on the marketplace.
