When will MLB The Show 26 launch?

MLB The Show 26 will officially launch on March 17th.

When will pre-orders become available?

Pre-orders for the Standard Edition will be available on February 3rd at 9 AM Pacific time.

Is early access available and when will it start?

Early access will start on Friday, March 13th at 12 AM Eastern time and is available by pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe edition.

Will there be a Collector's Edition?

There is no physical collector’s edition this year.

Which platforms will MLB The Show 26 be available for?

MLB The Show 26 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch version of the game is compatible with both the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2.

Will there be a Tech Test?

MLB The Show 26 will not have a pre-launch tech test.

What platforms support the Stadium Creator mode?

Stadium Creator is available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Does MLB The Show 26 support Cross Progression?

Yes, by linking all primary platform accounts with an MLB The Show account.

Can I buy Stubs™ on one console and transfer them to another console with Cross Progression?

No. Stubs™ purchased can only be used on the platform they were originally purchased from.

Does MLB The Show 26 support Cross-Play?

Yes, all console platforms support cross-play in the applicable modes.

Can I carry over my saves from MLB The Show 25 to MLB The Show 26?

MLB The Show 26 does not support Year-to-Year saves.

Vaults

Will my custom logos and rosters transfer from 25 to 26?

Custom logos that are uploaded to the vault will be available when 26 launches. Rosters will not transfer.

Will custom stadiums transfer from 25 to 26?

No. MLB The Show 26 will launch with a fresh Stadium Vault. This reset will allow custom stadiums to be used in competitive modes again. Stadiums created before MLB The Show 26 will remain available in previous versions of MLB The Show but won’t carry over into 26.

Now and Later Packs

What are Now and Later packs?

Now and Later Packs contain items you’ve come to expect “now” from The Show Packs in MLB The Show 25 with the added bonuses of allowing you to redeem packs “later” when in MLB The Show 26 at no additional cost. More information can be found here.

When will I receive my Now and Later packs?

Now and Later packs will begin rolling out to those who qualify on March 17th.

Nintendo Switch

Will an additional download be required if I buy the cartridge?

Yes, an additional download is required.

Will there be a Nintendo Switch 2 specific version of MLB The Show 26?

MLB The Show 26 is available on Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch version of the game is compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2 system.
