Supercharged player ratings boosts are debuting in MLB The Show 22 during MLB Opening Day games on April 7!
This new, reactive feature fuels Supercharged players with big attribute ratings changes for a limited time exclusively in Diamond Dynasty mode. Any MLB player can have an electric performance on the field deserving of a Supercharged rating change in the game. The Live Team at San Diego Studio will be evaluating huge moments, eye-popping stats in box scores, and the headlines from the season to decide the next Supercharged player.
Let’s take a closer look at an example of how Supercharged player ratings will work in Diamond Dynasty.
In this example with Brett Phillips’ Live Series player item, he received a 48-hour Supercharged ratings boost based on a fictional walk-off grand slam. His Bronze 73 OVR card is visually electrified and jumps to an 81 OVR rating for a limited time. Look at the big +30 attribute boosts to his Contact and Power ratings against right-handed pitching, plus his Clutch attribute went up too!
Note: Phillips’ player item remains at Bronze during the Supercharged period, and the Supercharged boost overrides Inside Edge ratings.
Supercharged will be a rare phenomenon – reserved for the biggest moments of the season! But on Opening Day, we are breaking all the rules to celebrate!
To celebrate this new feature and the start of an all-new MLB season, seven (7) players will be Supercharged on April 7. Throughout the day, look for announcements on our MLB The Show social channels to see who will be the Supercharged player of the game from these matchups:
