Rickwood Field, the oldest professional ballpark in the United States and former home of the Birmingham Black Barons of the Negro Leagues, will be the site of a special Regular Season contest between the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants on June 20, 2024. The game is a tribute to the Negro Leagues and one of baseball’s best and most charismatic players Willie Mays, who began his professional career in the Negro Leagues playing for the Black Barons.

To coincide with this seminal moment in both black baseball and Negro League’s history, in MLB The Show ‘24, we’re dropping a very special Storyline on June 20^th celebrating the career of Willie Mays and the majesty of Rickwood Field.
