Lightning Legend Jim Rice blasts into the May Monthly Awards Program

The May Monthly Awards Program is live and, along with the all-new Topps Now player items, this month’s Lightning Legend is Hall of Famer Jim “Jim Ed” Rice. Keep an eye on the May Monthly Awards Program in the coming weeks to find new Topps Now player items and to learn who will earn that coveted Lightning player item position for the month of May in MLB The Show 22.

Relive some of the most memorable recent moment for the biggest plays around the league in this week’s Topps Now Moments, found in the May Monthly Awards, to earn the following player items:

Draft your squad and then face-off against 4-time All-Star John Franco in the Big Dog Showdown to earn 20 points of progress towards the Spring Cleanup Featured Program.

Moonshot Weekend Event

Get your mitts on 2nd Half Nelson Cruz & Eugenio Suarez by taking on the Moonshot Weekend Event.

Hot Series Collection – Rookies

Collect 10 Rookie Series player items in the Spring Cleanup Featured Program’s Hot Series Collection to earn 10,000 XP towards the featured program.

Headliners Pack – Set 13

Headliners Pack – Set 13 features a 6-time All-Star, 9-time Gold Glove Award, and 3-time Silver Slugger Award recipient in “The Hit Man” All-Star Don Mattingly’s player item.

  • The Headliners Pack – Set 13 has 1:10 odds of pulling a Diamond. This pack is available now in The Show Shop for 7,500 Stubs and is limited to 5 packs per player.
  • The Headliners Choice Pack – Set 13 has 1:3 odds of pulling a Diamond. This choice pack is available now in The Show Shop for 25,000 Stubs and is limited to 1 pack per player.

*The Headliners Pack and the Headliners Choice pack Diamond odds have a chance to include the featured Diamond player item however, that chance does not guarantee that the featured Diamond player item will drop from either pack.
