MLB The Show 23 is officially coming to PlayStation Tournaments for PS5 in North America. Starting today, players will be able to test out tournaments in the beta and win specially-themed beta avatars. After the beta concludes, winners will take home even bigger rewards like Stubs, cash, PlayStation hardware, and more!

On PS5, MLB The Show 23 esports activities have been revamped and improved for players of all skill levels. At the core of the experience is PlayStation Tournaments. Play for prizes in seamless, online tournaments that are available to play throughout the day.

Multiplatform MLB The Show 23 tournaments are also coming to in North America. Repeat is a platform open to players of all skill levels across all platforms that support MLB The Show 23. Repeat offers a convenient way to compete. After connecting your account, Repeat will automatically track in-game results and let players rank against each other in prized leaderboard competitions on their own time. Players can participate across multiple game modes and earn prizes just for playing the game like they normally do. We’ll be bringing you more news on Repeat tournaments shortly. In the meantime, you can register here to be notified of when these tournaments are available.

Introducing the MLB The Show  Championship Series

The Show Championship Series is MLB The Show 23’s pro-level event, rebuilt from the ground up and hosted through PlayStation Tournaments. The marquee event will feature three stages and $50,000 in cash prizing. The series will have eight qualifiers hosted on PS5 Tournaments. Qualifiers begin on August 19th, utilizing the dynamic bracketing system of PS5 Tournaments and will cap competition at 32 participants for each bracket. Place well in your bracket to earn points, climb the leaderboard, and qualify for the final! At the end of the qualifiers, the top 12 players will be invited to the live broadcasted finals on September 28 – October 1. The remaining players in the top 75 will be eligible for a Wildcard Round, where four more players will earn a spot in the final. To participate, simply visit the PS5 Tournaments section of the Game Hub on the day of the qualifiers. Scroll to the Championship Series tournament card and select “Register”. You’ll receive a check in notification five minutes before the event starts and then your match will begin automatically.

To support the upcoming Championship Series and everything else in competitive MLB The Show 23, we’re teaming up with an exciting roster of esports Ambassadors. Scann, Yeyo, and Thuuuuney will be returning this year, while we welcome JX Gamiing & WizEnrique who will be representing the Spanish speaking community. These Ambassadors will be there to answer questions, share esports news & updates, and broadcast MLB The Show esports events!
