Season 3 Brings Out All-Stars Today in MLB® The Show™ 23

Season 3 is now live with 2023 All-Stars and the first 99 OVR cards for Negro Leagues Legends, and it features more Diamond 99s than any previous Season for you to earn!

Even more 99s are coming! Stay up late with us on the nights of the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game, and get ready for the new All-Star Other Program on Wednesday, July 12, for more ways to earn 99s! 

First, let’s dive into what you can you play TODAY in Season 3! Remember, you can earn a lot of these rewards by playing your style in single or multiplayer modes of Diamond Dynasty.

Team Affinity 3

Team Affinity 3 is where you will find players from your favorite team! Loaded with All-Stars and Home Run Derby sluggers of the past – a mix of Legends and Flashbacks representing all 30 clubs! 

The biggest addition is a new Collection where you can earn seven 99 OVR Diamond players headlined by 2023 All-Stars Corbin Carroll and Jose Ramirez! Every player you earn in TA3 leads directly to the new 99 Collection rewards.

In addition, TA3 Captains jump to 95 OVR (previously 92 OVR in TA2). And look for the return of Classics players in choice packs to build new theme teams and take advantage of those better Captains and their squad boosts.

Completing content in different areas will unlock progress in the Team Affinity 3 programs. Take on 30 Moments, one for each of the TA3 Bosses, and complete Missions for Captains, Classics, and Bosses that you earn along the way. Play through Showdowns for East, Central, and West, and dominate three Conquest maps, or turn in player items in Exchanges to earn instant progress. You will also be able to earn progress vouchers for every 5 wins in the new TA3 Mini Seasons that dropped today.

Team Affinity 3 Collection

We didn’t have this in Season 2, and the new Collection for Season 3 gives you extra incentive to play through TA3. Collect player rewards from each TA3 division Program path to unlock:

Tip: Freddie Freeman and Spencer Strider Captain cards earned at the beginning of the TA3 Collection boost ANY pitchers and hitters earned throughout Team Affinity 3 Programs. Build your best TA3 theme teams to receive those boosts, and knock out those missions even faster!

XP Reward Path features New Legend Mike Cameron

New Legend Mike Cameron makes his debut today in MLB The Show 23. One of only 18 players to complete “baseball’s greatest single-game accomplishment” by hitting 4 home runs in a single game, “Cammy” is a must-have for any Diamond Dynasty squad in Season 3. 

All-Star Game Series Mike Cameron (99 OVR) is a reward in the Season 3 XP Reward path featuring tons of Diamond players, including six 99 OVR players! All you have to do to earn XP is play MLB The Show 23 – any mode, any teams!

The new Series of Negro Leagues Legends features the artwork of Jin Kim, who illustrated the eight Storylines in MLB The Show 23. Everyone can earn an extra 99 OVR player from the Jin Kim Series near the middle of the 650,000 XP Reward path:

If you complete the entire XP Reward Path, don’t worry, because the Unlimited Rewards kick in where you have a chance to earn more XP Boss choice packs, plus the new Chase Pack (more on that later).

Ranked Program

Bring your best Diamond Dynasty squad to play Solo 1v1, or Co-Op with friends, in 2v2 or 3v3 and work your way towards three more 99 OVR player items to choose from in the Ranked 4 Program.

Climb the leaderboards to earn rewards that you can sell, while unlocking Ranked program rewards (no-sell), including the World Series Reward Choice Pack featuring 2023 All-Star Series Sean Murphy (99 OVR), 2023 All-Star Series Juan Soto (99 OVR), and Jin Kim Series Satchel Paige (99 OVR).

Set 3 Collection

We added extra 99s here too! Collect Legends and Flashbacks from Set 3 and earn choice packs featuring 2023 All-Star Series Adley Rutschman (99 OVR), 2023 All-Star Series Ronald Acuna Jr. (99 OVR), and Jin Kim Series Martin Dihigo (99 OVR).
